You can decide between a topical lotion or a CBD oil to help in the gym!
Before a Workout
Using either product before you head to the gym can ease your muscles and allow you to have a better workout. This is a great idea especially if you hit the gym frequently and always seem to have muscle soreness. But when should you take them?
- CBD Tincture - 30-45 minutes before working out. Since it’s a liquid, your body can metabolize it faster than a gummy. Many oils come in great-tasting flavors too so you could take it straight or add it to a smoothie or pre-workout!
- CBD Gummy - This form of CBD will take slightly longer to take effect. If you want the results before your workout, try taking gummies 1-2 hours before!
- CBD Lotions - Topical CBD products would be great to target specific muscles that seem to tense up the most. Try using a CBD lotion 15-30 minutes before you start your workout!
After a Workout
There are two ways your muscles feel sore after working out. One is called acute muscle soreness which is the soreness (feels more like burning) you can feel during or right after exercise. The other one is delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). We mentioned those tiny tears that your muscles have after working out. They are considered to be the source of DOMS which usually lasts for 24-48 hours after working out. CBD products can help limit some of the uncomfortable pain from DOMS.
